To the beach

The weather is hotting up again and we are heading to the coast in the hope of some cooler air or at least  a breeze. Our first stop was at an enormous beach stretching into the miles long.

Where we parked up, there were snails on every post, almost as if the snails were playing the floor is lava.

Every post was covered.

We walked for a bit going into the waves to cool off. It was a sand with a few pebbles, which we collected, so Katie could door some crafts. The beach was busy but not ramed it was a lovely walk.

We moved on to an island and the traffic that appears to be a permanent feature. Oléron is a lovely island. We headed to the far end and quickly realised that the island was not a fan of people just stopping in their campers. Every carpark had prohibited signs. We made it to the light house and saw a pirate ship.

On the way back, we stopped to see Fort Boyard of TV fame.

We found the only carpark on the island that allows campers and secured the last spot.

We watched the sunset, looking back at the bridge we crossed on to the island.
