Half-term getaway

Getting away from work for a few days.

We headed towards Devises. The first stop was at a flight of 16 locks.

We walked up the tow path. Each of the locks had a sign with who had sponsored or worked on the locks.

From here, we went to find somewhere to sleep. 2 degrees outside when we went to sleep.

We went for a walk up an extremely steep hill, ice still on the ground. From the top, we could see Highclere Castle.

And a memorial to the man who discovered tutmkarnons tomb.

Another drive and we were on top of the world views for miles. There was a memorial to the paras who had trained in the valley below before heading to Normandy.

After lunch, we had a walk across the ridge there were 5 or more large birds of prey using the thermals of the ridges.

A trip to go outdoors and hobby craft.

Tonight we are staying in Malborough we had a walk around the town before heading to the van for a lovely dinner.
